Welcome to the fossils and archeology mod.

Installation single-player

  1. Install Forge into Minecraft as what Forge's website says.
  2. Run the game once. You will get a folder named "mods" under %appdata%/.minecraft/.
  3. Download the newest fossil-archeology zipped archive.
  4. Move the archive into the "mods" folder (do not unzip!).
  5. Run the game and enjoy.

Play tutorial

Follow these steps:

  1. Start your normal Minecraft world: house, food, armor, & tools.
  2. Start to mine for fossil blocks.
  3. Get a analyzer and a cultivator and make some dinosaurs!

Installation server

  1. Install Forge into Minecraft_server.jar as what Forge's website says.
  2. Run the server once. You will get a folder named "mods" in your server location.
  3. Download the mod_Fossil.zip (Same as client file).
  4. Unzip it as "mod_Fossil" folder with class files directly inside.
  5. Move the "mod_Fossil" folder into "mods" folder.
  6. Check if mods/mod_Fossil folder has class files directly inside and DON'T keep mod_Fossil.zip inside mods.
  7. Run the server and enjoy.
