By far the most popular mobs added by this mod are the prehistoric creatures. All prehistoric creatures (with the exception of naturally-spawning [[nautilus]] and [[coelacanth]]) must be created by the player. Once created, some of them can be tamed, commanded, and ridden. Also, some prehistoric creatures are available with scientifically accurate feathers and quills (which can be toggled on or off in the Revival mod config file) while others have subspecies. The Fossils and Archeology Revival Mod adds a wide assortment of mobs to Minecraft, from the innocent archaeologist villager to the powerful Spinosaurus. A great majority of them are prehistoric creatures that the player has to create. Many others are hostile mobs that reside near Anu, the boss mob of the mod. The tamed zombie pigman added in 7.3 does not fall into any of these categories.

PREHISTORIC CREATURES

Sunset Croc

A sarcosuchus snoozes while the sun rises.

By far the most popular mobs added by this mod are the prehistoric creatures. All prehistoric creatures (with the exception of naturally-spawning nautilus, sturgeon, gar, and coelacanth) must be created by the player. Once created, some of them can be tamed, commanded, and ridden. Also, some prehistoric creatures are available with scientifically accurate feathers and quills (which can be toggled on or off in the Revival mod config file). The 8.0.4 update contains fifty-two prehistoric mobs. The list of all prehistoric mobs and information ranging from their creation to taming is located here.

8.0.4 HOSTILE MOBS

TjPVmqV

An anubite, still in its statue form, waiting in the distance.

All hostile mobs spawn near either F/A Revival mod blocks or structures. Please note that the dead bones are not currently implemented, but they will be in the future.

7.2 HOSTILE MOBS

TjPVmqV

An anubite, still in its statue form, waiting in the distance.

All hostile mobs spawn near either F/A Revival mod blocks or structures. Please note that the dead bones are not currently implemented, but they will be in the future.

BOSS MOBS

2015-06-24 17.17

Anu, awakening from his deep slumber inside of his sarcophagus

There is currently one boss in this mod, and his name is Anu. Defeating him is the key to unlocking the ability to time travel (WIP).

8.0.4 PASSIVE MOBS

Fido

An archaeologist villager in a fossil dig site with his pet velociraptor.

While not technically a mob, the fossil model is an entity. It, the tamed zombie pigman, and the archaeologist villager are the only non-prehistoric passive mobs added with this mod.

7.2 PASSIVE MOBS

Fido

An archaeologist villager in a fossil dig site with his pet velociraptor.

While not technically a mob, the fossil model is an entity. It, the tamed zombie pigman, and the archaeologist villager are the only non-prehistoric passive mobs added with this mod.
