Revision as of 00:36, 20 December 2015
The Fossils and Archeology Revival mod adds many items to Minecraft. These items can be crafted by the player or dropped from blocks or mobs. They range from plant and animal items to mysterious relics from ancient civilizations. Some of these items are tools that can be given enchantments that are unique to the mod. Spawn eggs and regular amber are only available through Creative Mode.
ANIMAL ITEMS
The prehistoric creatures of the mod have many items attributed to them. Some items are crafted in order to create the creatures, and others are handy drops that can be used for other things.
Crafted Items | Bone Drops | Non-Bone Drops |
---|---|---|
Non-Avian Eggs | Arm Bone | Raw Animal Meat |
Avian Eggs | Claw | Coelacanth (item) |
DNA | Foot | Empty Shell |
Embryo | Leg Bone | Failuresaurus Flesh |
Skull (item) | Living Nautilus | |
Rib Cage (Bone) | Magic Conch | |

PLANT ITEMS
Dinosaurs aren't the only prehistoric things that can be recreated - there are plants, too! Fossilized seeds and spores can be cultivated into the seeds and spores of a large variety of prehistoric plants, and the nasty failure plant too.
Bennettitales | Foozia | Seeds & Spores |
Cephalotaxus | Horsetail | Welwitschia |
Dillhoffia | Lycopodiophyta | Zamites |
Failure Plant | Palaeoraphe Sapling | |
Ferns | Sarracenia |
PREHISTORIC REMAINS
To obtain any kind of living prehistoric thing, you have to start with its remains! All of these items can be cultivated in order to start the creation process.
Bio-Fossil | Frozen Meat |
Dominican Amber | Petrified Palaeoraphe Sapling |
Fossilized Seeds & Spores | Plant Fossil |
ANCIENT ARTIFACTS
Keeping in mind the archeology portion of this mod, there are quite a few ancient artifacts. Some, like the scarab gem, are integral to the mod. Others are useful tools or beautiful decorations.
Damaged Artifacts | Restored Artifacts | Other Artifacts |
---|---|---|
Broken Ancient Helmet | Ancient Helmet | Aquatic Scarab Gem |
Broken Ancient Sword | Ancient Sword | Ancient Figurines |
Pottery Shard | Amphora | Fossil Record - Awakening |
Relic Scrap | Kylix | Fossil Record - Bones |

Several mob drops can be cooked into tasty snacks. The raw forms of most of the foods listed here can be found on the animal meat page.

TOOLS, WEAPONS, AND ARMOR
A great deal of the items this mod adds serve to aid the player in their adventures. Weapons and armor provide great offense and defense, respectively, and tools make working with prehistoric creatures easier.

Scarab Axe | Scarab Sword |
Scarab Hoe | Tooth Dagger |
Scarab Pickaxe | Skull Armor |
Scarab Shovel | |

After fighting Anu, the player will receive these items, which are crucial to building the time machine. While not fully implemented as of yet, in future updates the time machine will take players to The Past.
